Biography

CHAE Sung-Pil was born in 1972 in Jindo, South Korea.

A graduate in oriental painting from Seoul National University, Chae Sung-Pil is a doctoral student in visual arts at the University of Paris.

Chae Sung-Pil works on the original forms of our universe. "Heaven gives, earth receives, man accomplishes", according to the principles of Taoism. The artist uses nature and especially the earth to create his works. Using only natural materials, he combines a unique technique with the Far Eastern Taoist tradition. He is absolutely unique, both in the modernity of his landscapes and through his affiliation with the old masters.

Regularly exhibited, an artist invited to many recognized art fairs, Chae Sung-Pil's works have been included in many public and private collections.
