Kim Sun Mi, born in 1976 in South Korea and living in France since 2000, graduated from Paris I and trained in engraving in Versailles. Her conceptual work blends minerals and threads, exploring connection, space, and consciousness, informed by a significant childhood experience. Drawing on both Eastern and Western influences, she moves between painting, sculpture, and installation, notably with her recurring motif of the red thread. Exhibited in Europe and Korea, and winner of the Paris Jisung Prize, her work is featured in major public and private collections.
