Pierre Cornette de Saint-Cyr, a renowned international art dealer, has honored us with his participation in this initiative by curating the exhibition. He oversaw the selection of works and the creation of an exceptional catalog.
Around thirty recent painted works, as well as three-dimensional works, will be exhibited within the walls of Magna Gallery Paris. The event will also be extended during the Asian Spring. On this occasion, the gallery will present a few selected works at its stand on the third floor of the Pagode (Maison Loo) from June 5 to 12, 2025.
There are works that whisper and vibrate with contained energy, like a flower ready to bloom. For the K-Bloom exhibition, Magna Gallery Paris is honored to unveil a series of works at the crossroads of traditional Korean painting and a perfectly embodied contemporary sensibility. Through the grace of his vibrant physalis and carefully constructed volumes, the artist unfolds a world where the silence of the paper dialogues with the density of emptiness, and where each form seems plucked from a suspended dream.
The title K-Bloom resonates like a promise of blossoming. It evokes the idea of artistic fulfillment, but also that of a Korean identity. For Aeri Lee doesn't just revisit the codes of minhwa or oriental painting: she extracts their sap to create a profoundly singular aesthetic. Recurring motifs—notably the ground cherry's vegetal lantern—become recurring metaphors for happiness, vulnerability, and the persistence of beauty in a world rife with impermanence.
What first touches and captures us in Aeri Lee's work is the precision of her gesture. Nothing is left to chance: the contours, textures, and superpositions evoke a patient, almost meditative pictorial style. The artist manages to combine formal refinement with a rare emotional sincerity. Her works are not simply beautiful: they touch us because they are true, intimate, and imbued with a discreet but eloquent humanity.

K-Bloom is therefore not simply an exhibition: it is a renewed invitation to contemplate nature, so dear to Korean art. By offering a space between fragility and strength, ornament and abstraction, Aeri Lee re-enchants our relationship with the image.
In this Parisian spring, his works blossom like so many promises: that art can still, and always, enchant us.
