In our gallery in the heart of Paris, let yourself be transported by a captivating staging that blurs the boundaries between art objects and functional works. Each piece exhibited will tell a story embodying the timeless elegance and innovation, trademarks of this eponymous designer.
Jean-Yves Lanvin is a French designer, great-grandson of Jeanne Lanvin, founder of the Lanvin fashion house in 1880. Growing up in an environment steeped in elegance and creativity, he was deeply influenced by artists such as Paul Iribe, Armand Albert Rateau and Jean Dunand, whose works have left their mark on the world of Lanvin Décoration.
After a career in investment banking in New York and London, Jean-Yves followed his passion for design. He collaborated with renowned houses and ateliers, including Maison Charles, Pouenat and Boccara Art, before creating his own pieces.
His work is distinguished by a sculptural approach emphasizing asymmetrical and strong lines. He uses rare materials such as brass, metal and bronze, often combined with noble minerals, to create unique works that reflect a mineral universe.
Notable creations include the “Block” collection, featuring sculptural tables and consoles in polished brass, and the “Stalactite” collection, which incorporates mineral forms in brass and onyx.
Jean-Yves Lanvin continues to perpetuate his family’s artistic legacy by bringing a contemporary vision to furniture and lighting design, combining tradition and innovation.
