Chae Sung Pil, born in 1972 on Jindo Island (South Korea), holds a degree in Oriental painting from Seoul National University and is currently pursuing a PhD in fine arts in Paris.

Inspired by Taoist philosophy, his work combines natural materials - such as Korean earth and water - with contemporary abstraction. He creates modern compositions rooted in tradition, offering strong visual impact.

His works are featured in numerous museums and collections, including the Cernuschi Museum (Paris), Museum of Art (Seoul), and BNP Paribas.

In “Water Portrait 241201,” Chae Sung-Pil unveils a vibrant statement that resonates at first glance. Elegant contrasts and a clean rhythm create a contemporary and desirable aura. A work ready to join a collection, combining personality, clarity, and lasting value.
