Chae Sung Pil, born in 1972 on Jindo Island (South Korea), holds a degree in Oriental painting from Seoul National University and is currently pursuing a PhD in fine arts in Paris.

Inspired by Taoist philosophy, his work combines natural materials - such as Korean earth and water - with contemporary abstraction. He creates modern compositions rooted in tradition, offering strong visual impact.

His works are featured in numerous museums and collections, including the Cernuschi Museum (Paris), Museum of Art (Seoul), and BNP Paribas.

Chae Sung-Pil has created a striking work, "Water Portrait 241202," whose presence captivates from the outset. A strong gesture meets subtle sensitivity, achieving a rare visual harmony. A refined addition that will resonate with connoisseurs of contemporary art.
